EMPIRICAL AND NON-LEGAL RESEARCH TUTORIAL This tutorial is designed to be a basic introduction to empirical and non-legal research. It serves as a research guide to some of the most commonly used non-legal research sources. You can access the following resources in any order:
Each resource is briefly described and can be accessed in print, on the Internet, or through a subscription database. If a resource is available in print, the item's call number and/or location in the Library will be provided. If it is on the Internet, a hyperlink will give you direct access to the resource. A resource that is available in a legal database such as Lexis or Westlaw will require you to have a user ID and password for access. Some databases are accessible only at the Downtown Campus Library or may require passwords from the Library. If you need assistance, please contact the Downtown Campus Library at (312) 906-5670, see a Reference Librarian at the Reference Desk on the 9th Floor, or send an e-mail to a Librarian at refreq@kentlaw.edu. |
