Staff

The IIT Downtown Campus Library provides all IIT Staff with full access to our library services, as well as the resources of 75+ other Illinois libraries through our I-Share Program. Staff accounts are created upon request: please contact our Access Services Librarian, Eric Neagle (eneagle@kentlaw.edu), to set up your library account.

Our Educational Technology Librarian, Debbie Ginsberg, (dginsberg@kentlaw.edu), can assist IIT staff with emerging information technologies and our Library Document Center will assist with book copying and color printing upon request.

Public

Because the Library is a designated document depository, anyone is welcome to use the library’s collection of documents from U.S. government, the United Nations, and the European Union. The public may also use the remainder of the library’s collection for research purposes.

Only the 9th floor computer lab is accessible for public use, which is limited to 30 minutes per day. This public access is intended for research with federal government documents. Printing is not available to the public. Members of the public should plan to print elsewhere and download their research to a flash drive or email the results using a web email account like Gmail or Yahoo. Laptops can be connected to the internet with a network cord but wireless access is not available.

Note: While the library is open to the public for legal research, the Downtown Campus Library is not a public library. We reserve the right to ask members of the public who are not using the library for its intended purposes to leave. During exams or other select periods, the library may restrict public access.
