Document Delivery
The Library Document Center can copy articles, text excerpts, and other documents for faculty upon request. To request printed copies of articles from our collection, Faculty members may email requests for photocopies to the Library Document Center (doccente@kentlaw.edu) or send a research assistant or faculty administrative assistant to request them in person at the Circulation Desk on the 9th floor.
The Library Document Center can also provide scanned pdf copies of articles via e-mail. Requests are normally fulfilled within 24 hours, though timing will depend on staff workload and availability. Adjunct faculty are limited to scanned pdfs via e-mail or print pickup at the Circulation Desk, as the library does not provide a mail delivery service for articles.
Document Services requests will be delivered once a day to faculty mailboxes. Faculty may also arrange to have copies picked up at the Service Desk. Bulk copying requests should be directed to the College Service Center (312-906-5095).
Notice: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Photocopying and scanning printed works and/or downloading, saving, and printing information and from databases licensed by the Library is limited to personal, academic use only; all other uses are prohibited.

Library Collections
Although the library provides direct access to current awareness print materials through the faculty lounge and routing services, you can also find print materials in our special collection locations:
- Current Awareness - on the northeast corner of the 9th floor library, we have a section of stacks where older periodicals are shelved for a limited back file (normally 2 weeks for newspapers and 1 year for magazines). Older issues are available through the Library's electronic resources.

New Books List
The library publishes lists of the latest new book acquisitions each month and updates these lists on a weekly basis. All lists are organized alphabetically by title, listing the authors and call number location with links to the library catalog that can show if the item is available for checkout.

Routing
Full-time faculty can request to have specific journals automatically routed to their office by contacting their library liaison or the reference desk (refreq@kentlaw.edu). Adjunct faculty are welcome to subscribe to the Table of Contents e-mail updates, but will need to request specific articles as directed below.
Journals are typically routed approximately one week after they appear in the Table of Contents e-mails to allow for copy requests. If another library user requests a routed item, library staff may request that it be returned.

Table of Contents

If you would like to receive a full copy of any article from these journals, please send a full citation to the Document Center. They can provide print copies or send e-mail pdf scans. Off-campus adjunct faculty are limited to scanned pdfs via e-mail or print pickup at the circulation desk, as the library does not provide a mail delivery service for articles.
