Library Technology
All use of computers in the DTC Library labs are subject to the IIT Computer and Network Use Policies. Any public access to computers and internet resources in the library is intended for research purposes only and may be subject to other limitations, including time limits.
Please note that the printers, computer labs, and wireless internet access provided in the library are maintained by the Center for Law and Computers and may have limited availability for users that are not a part of Chicago-Kent College of Law. See below for information about access for Stuart and other IIT users.

Copiers
Copy machines are located on the 7th, 9th and 10th floors. The 9th floor copy room includes two copiers equipped with document feeders and the "Add Value" station where you can buy new copy cards or add value to a purchased card or student ID. The 10th floor copier is located to the south of the stairs (to the right of the top of the stairs). One other copier is located in a copy room on the 7th floor behind the library elevator (turn right and go down the hall). There are no copiers on the 6th and 8th floors.
Copies are $.10 each. Copy cards may be purchased with a $1, $5, $10 or $20 bill. The library staff cannot provide change. A copy card cost of $0.60 is deducted from the initial balance of the newly purchased card. (If a $1 bill is used, the initial balance will be $0.40.)
DTC Students: You can use the "Add Value" machine to add funds for copying to your student ID - you do not need to purchase a separate copy card. See the instructions in the 9th floor copier room for more information.
IIT Downtown Campus Faculty and Staff: The Library Document Center can help with requests for copying books and other library material. Please contact Eric Neagle (eneagle@kentlaw.edu) if you would like to take advantage of this service.
Problems? If you have any problems with the copiers, please contact a library staff member at the Circulation Desk or email circreq@kentlaw.edu.

Printers
There are no printing services available for off-campus visitors or IIT students. All print services are offered by the computer services departments of Chicago-Kent and Stuart School of Business in their labs.
Stuart Students: Stuart students print in the Stuart labs on the 1st and 4th floors. Wireless printing is not available.
Chicago-Kent Students: Printers are available in the library through the labs on the 7th and 9th floors. At the beginning of each year, students are given 400 page credits on their student ID cards. When those credits are exhausted, you can use the "Add Value" machine in the 9th floor copy room to add money to a cash account (print credits cost $.07 per page). To print from the student credits, press "enter". To print from the "cash" account on your ID card, press 1, then enter.
Chicago-Kent students who want print to the lab printers from their laptops must take them to the Help Desk to be configured by the Center for Law and Computers. Lexis and Westlaw printers are also available for Chicago-Kent students in the Library computer labs

Chicago-Kent Adjunct Faculty: The Library has a print card available for copying in the library or printing in the computer labs. Visit the Circulation Desk on the 9th floor of the library to sign out the card. The Library Document Center is also available to faculty for course-related printing and copying. Contact Eric Neagle (eneagle@kentlaw.edu) if you would like to take advantage of this service.
IIT Downtown Campus Faculty and Staff: The Library Document Center can help with requests for printing library electronic resources and some other projects not covered by Chicago-Kent's College Service Center. Please contact Eric Neagle (eneagle@kentlaw.edu) if you would like to take advantage of this service.
Problems with Lexis or Westlaw printers can be reported using the contact information listed by each printer. Problems with the Kentlaw printers should be reported to PC help:

Computer Labs
All computer lab use is subject to the IIT Computer and Network Use Policies. There are three computer labs available on the 7th and 9th floors of the library, with 62 computers providing access to the internet, library electronic resources, and Microsoft Office Professional Suite software.
All DTC Library computer labs are available to any students, staff, faculty, and alumni affiliated with IIT. Public users can use the computers in the lab on the 9th floor for 30 minutes per day.
Chicago-Kent Students: To login to computers in the labs, Chicago-Kent affiliated users use the same username and password as their e-mail accounts.
Stuart & IIT Students: You can login to the computers in the labs and get full access to the programs and internet through them using the username "guest" with no password. The library computer labs are provided by Chicago-Kent's Center for Law and Computers, so printing is not available to IIT or Stuart students. For printing and network access, there are computer labs on the 1st and 4th floors of the Downtown Campus that are run by Stuart School's computer staff.

Internet Access in the Library
All internet access in the library is subject to the IIT Computer and Network Use Policies. Wireless internet access is available in most areas of the library. In areas where it is not available, network plugs and power outlets are available at the study tables. In addition to our three computer labs, library users can also use any of the Library's 6 email stations to access the Internet. For locations, see the Library's maps.
Currently enrolled graduate Stuart students and Downtown Campus faculty and staff can connect their laptops to the Kent secure wireless network while working in the Library. If you have any trouble using wireless after your initial setup, please contact the tech support listed below:
Wireless Access
Chicago-Kent Users: Incoming Chicago-Kent students may access the wireless network after their laptops are configured by the Help Desk. Faculty and staff should contact PCHelp (pchelp@kentlaw.edu) for assistance configuring their laptops for the wireless network. For more information about configuring laptops to access the Kentlaw network and wireless Internet, see the Record page for the Center for Law and Computers (CLC) under "Help Links".
Stuart Users: Current Stuart students may access the Internet via the Chicago-Kent wireless network or the Library's network ports, but they will not have direct access to their SSB ‘Z’ drive. Direct access to their SSB ‘Z’ drive is only through SSB lab computers. To connect to the Chicago-Kent wireless network, please follow the instructions provided in the “Stuart-Student Essentials” channel in the myIIT portal. If you have problems connecting to the wireless network please contact support at ITSupport@stuart.iit.edu.
